Saheeli Rai's deck!
Saheeli starts the game with two islands and one mountain.
Active RPs
Ravnica: A Diabolic Tutor (open)
Saheeli is on Innistrad, helping the locals recover from the attack by the eldrazi. She's trying to be useful and stay safe without arousing the suspicion and fear of the Innistradians.
For additional info about Saheeli see my later reply.
Name: Saheeli Rai
Race: Human
Plane of Birth: Ghirapur, Kaladesh
Predominant Mana Color(s): Red and blue! (Maybe she'll dip white in the future, because, you know.)
Sum up the character in three words: Visionary, positive, competitive
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Short intro post as character
Rain hammered down on the glass awning above Saheeli's head as she got off her train, back in Ghirapur again. She'd been in the country, out of the public eye for a while after the turmoil of the resistance. It was weird enough having strangers stop her on the street to ask about her inventions, let alone the wasp's nest of politics that surrounded last month's events. It was always unsettling being asked a question and not knowing the answer, but worse was not being allowed to reveal the answer. Nobody in Ghirapur would understand Tezzeret, the planar bridge...
At the moment Saheeli had more pressing concerns, though: how to get back to her apartment without getting drenched. She really should have brought an umbrella, but who needs to carry things around when you can just make them with magic?
Drawing on the mana around her, Saheeli called forth metal threads from thin air, weaving them into an intricate flower-shaped umbrella, with a stem for a handle - thin enough to be elegant but thick enough to support the weight of the - oh, crap, this thing was heavy as hell. What was she thinking? A metal umbrella? She cast around as she struggled to hold her creation, looking for an idea. There were a few unfortunate others also caught in the storm, most of them clever enough to bring umbrellas or wear water-resistant hats. One even had her construct carrying her umbrella for her. That seemed like overkill, though. Create a whole automaton just to carry an umbrella?
But, what if she made an umbrella that could support itself, like if it had thopter wings? No, it could never stand up to the wind. Instead, Saheeli replaced the stem handle of her umbrella with four legs, on the edges of the round flower top.
She stepped out into the rain. The construct followed, walking lightly over the stone street, but her sandals were still getting wet. For a moment she considered making herself a pair of metal galoshes, but they'd be harder to animate... or would they? She tried it, calling forth more threads and weaving herself some stylish boots: waterproof, but too heavy to really walk in. She gave each four legs and instructed them to walk, which they did... slowly.
"Can we go faster?" she asked. The boots sped up, but were still barely up to strolling pace. She tried giving them longer legs, but they nearly knocked her over with their wobbly strides. Saheeli caught herself on one of the legs of her walking umbrella, and quickly dismissed the walking boots before she broke her ankles. Enough of that nonsense. She could deal with wet shoes.
